If you are female, definitely skip this place. Bartenders pretended I didn't exist and guys-gone-wild was playing on 17 screens in the bar, and they pretty much laughed when I asked if they could maybe change ONE.
Every time I enter P-town, it's always the same faces. Unless there's a show of some sort, the crowd is mostly middle-aged to old. I agree with a post above. I have NEVER been charged the same price for drinks and the quality is usually bad. While the bartenders haven't been all that rude to me, they do talk with their own friends more than they make drinks, and give out freebies to them as it is. The naked dancers are kinda hot, but shows with Ida and Nancy are amazing on the first Thursdays of every month.
I've been to this bar a few times. First off, I've never really been charged the same price for drinks. It changes with who ever is bartending. The last time I went It was happy hour and I was charged $10.00 for 2 white russians in the smallest glasses they have to offer. Second the bartenders aren't that friendly. They spend more time talking with their friends than waiting on the customers.
I frequent this place all throughout the week...this establistment is a second home away from home...i love my bartenders Wade, Sam, EJ, and Bob...they've always been great to me and made me feel welcome...and as to the owners whom have a great since of hospitality and can always carry on a conversation and tell awsome stories...HEYYYYYYYYYYY PTOWN I love yinz n'@...i love this bar and the waitstaff...keep it up...once again ...HEYYYYY PTOWN
I agree with the two previous entries. Since it's unfair to judge a place after a visit or two, I actually dedicated about a half-dozen visits before deciding it was better off when it was a straight titty bar. There was one helpful bartender (Bob...he was so helpful, I actually asked for his name), and the rest were baby Shadyside A-list wannabes who obviously wanted to be somewhere else. Hell, even the naked and obviously straight dancers paid more attention to me than the bartenders...and I'm far too young to be considered daddy material. It's too bad. Outside of Spin, Pittsburgh has no real "nice" non-smoking bars, and there is actually a need for more than one in a town our size. Preferably one with an enthusiastic and helpful waitstaff.
