PLEASE READ what I said about "Club Hot". It's the same for this shitty bar. Since it is in the same establishment. I highly do NOT recommend the place. Maybe for just a pass through if they serve your ass....

Run by a bunch of degenerates, disgusting. And the club upstairs a rip-off.

Most locals still call it Liberty Avenue Saloon and I have been there over a dozen times and I have always enjoyed myself. Of course, there a rea couple bad seeds (aka stuck ups) from time to time but thats just about any gay bar..Overall, most people seem friendly as is the staff. The bathrooms are pretty clean as well. There is a pool table and a great jukebox too.

Came here with another worker since it was close to the hotel. I was told that a lot of people in my age group go here and they do ........ along with an attitude. Bartender wore out his vocal cords conversing with his regulars that he couldn't talk when he took our order. Music was good and drinks were alright. Overall ok if you go with someone you already know.

great staff, very friendly people.cant wait to go back.

I just returned home from a visit to Pittsburgh and the Saloon is by far, the best bar on Liberty Ave. The Atmosphere is awesome, the bartenders were great... and by great, I mean hot, and the music was very good. I highly recommend a visit if you are downtown in Pitt.

the saloon is the best place in town, if you leave your money on the counter ... really?! at a bar .... come on .... what do you expect!! dont be doing that shit, thats YOUR FAULT! the staff is wonderful and the atmosphere is so much fun. the saloon never lets me down :)

The atmosphere is generally nice at the Saloon, with booths and usually decent music. HOWEVER, most bartenders will ignore you if you are not a regular or a hot young gay guy. Plus the drinks are expensive, and weak for what you pay. Crowd is mostly gay men in urban hipster clothes, wearing sunglasses, etc with the occasional homeless guy wandering in from the streets. No soap in the bathrooms just that damn alcohol stuff.

best bar on the gay strip! Very comfortible, and accomidating to everyone. Gay, straight, bi, everyone is there.

THE SALOON IS ALWAYS A GOOD TIME! THEIR IS ALWAYS A YOUNG CROUWD, ITS HIP LIKE THAT, THE AFTERHOURS ROCKS, THE STAFF IS GREAT, THEY RUN A TIGHT SHIP CAUSE THEY ARE SO BUSY, SO PEOPLE GET PISSED OFF, BUT EVERYONE KNOWS THAT WHERE EVERYONE GOES

I will say it has cleaned up since to saloon...but the attitude got worse the only good thing about he bar is Sprout the other bartenders are rude and have nothing but attitudes and cater only to the little boy toys...so if your the age of 25 you might want to reconsider this one...

So I was a little drunk. I went to the bathroom leaving my money and half of my beer on the bar. I came back from to finish my beer and it was gone.. and SO was the change from the twenty dollar bill that I paid with. When I asked the bartender, he told me that I had to leave and not to come back. I'd heard about this happening to people and thought it couldn't happen. I was wrong.

This bar is the center for drama in pittsburgh. While there are a few nice bartenders like Sprout to name one, it still has the same staff that runs the afterhours club upstairs and they are NOT NICE. If you are comming in from out of town, beware.. DO NOT leave your money and drink unattended on the bar. Even if you have to use the restroom for it will disappear. You will not find many different ethnic groups in this bar either as they only care for one group of people to be in the bar: pretty white boys.

One of the best places in the city..."if you are in that scene" though almost all heteros' love it there so that says it all. Great staff to match the wonderful people who visit. Always will be my fav. Sunny...keep up the good work!!

This place has been given a remodel rendering it with an odd atmosphere. I mish mash of styles. The old crowd still lingers like the people left at a party after everyone else has left

This places has been completely remodeled with an upscale neo-western theme.Since it's reopening it has become a popular hangout for the downtown set..Check it out.

Newly renovated with a western theme this is a great place to hang out after work and into the evening.They have a great selection of draft beer. Ask about the after hours club upstairs it's a blast
