Are you kidding me with the previous reviews? I will start by saying that Norm is a nice guy. Aside from him, a well-worn, tattered interior in a building next to a railroad trestle. While perhaps Sundays can be fun, venture in any other night of the week and you're likely to be greeted by the crowd of regulars who tend to be sloppy drunks and some who are there "working". Mix in those who tend to pick fights, those who don't care about personal appearance and hygiene and you pretty much have a snapshot of what to expect. Not a nice place at all.

by its cover and Brewers is a good example of this. Although the crowd is mostly all older and not exactly the walthiest bunch of people, they were all friendly and the staff is the same.. Its a nice little dive bar

Can't think of another fun bar I have been at in years. Everyone is friendly and makes you feel welcome. The outside and the parking may be a bit daunting but well worth the effort to visit. If you are into preppy gay... don't go. This is a real mans bar... woof!

Everyone is friendly and down to earth. There are no people there that think they are better than anyone else. Prices and quality of the drinks are very good.

Brewers is a great place to just hang out and have a few, inexpensive drinks with friends, or meet a few new friends. Not a Stand and Model bar like some of the more pretentious bars in the city, its a fun place. Norm, and Paul are great behind the bar in the evening. Rob during the day needs to loose the attitude with customers.

Friendliest bar in town

Brewer's is a blast. It's raunchy, it's perverse, anything can happen and usually does. This is where you can meet the blue collar guys who wouldn't be caught dead in a poser bar. Some are very hot, and some have been sitting at the bar for about 20 years too long. Cheapest drinks in town. You can meet a friend as soon as you walk in.

Definately A Good Time.. Ask For Rocketfuel!

This small bar right across the Herron Ave Bridge from Donny's Place, is truely a "dive" bar. BUT it is SO much fun. There are the most ecclectic group of regulars and the bar's happy hour is always packed. They have cheap drinks and the best shot in town known as Rocketfuel. Everyone that goes there is generally nice and will talk to anyone. Might not be the prettiest group of folks but these folks will definately show you a great time. Paul and Norm rock behind the bar. Cheers.

I had one of the most beezar nights in the city here. There was a man, face down on the bar next to me. A fat drag mess on the other and I swear someone had shit their pants somewhere. ala and all a memorable night I wouldnt want to repeat. I love this bar!

If you are a post-modernist novelist with a taste for filth, this is the place to spend all of your free time. It has, unfortunately, cleaned up its' act a bit over the past few years, but it still retains most of its' original raunchy flavor. This is the place where I once had my underwear removed with my jeans still on by a married man, made out in the women's bathroom with both Mr. Leather and a man who turned out to have false teeth, and have participated in a supermodel walk-off with a chubby guy wearing stilettos and a baseball uniform. The best time to go is either Friday or Sunday Happy Hour. And I recommend shots of "Rocket Fuel" along with your 1 dollar skunked draft. Sundays in the summertime are the afterparty for the bar's very own softball team, The Missfits. You will see a mix of hot daddy types who take the sport seriously, and toothless queens who look like they may not live through the night. It's a spectacle of skid row meets blue collar and everyone is drunkenly friendly. Easy to get laid here in the most memorable and sloppy of ways.

Quiet neighborhood bar with mostly older clientele. Everyone was helpful aclimating me to my new home town and where the spots were. Cheapest drinks in The City.
