5801 Video Lounge & Cafe

Its about time that the gay bars in Pittsburgh did a remodel and look like something to be proud of rather than something that belongs under a rock in some seedy dark alley. 5801 is a very nicely decorated, clean, non-seedy place to hang out. I know...its hard to believe....in Pittsburgh????? Whats next......an actual gay restaurant????

Finally a gay bar in Pittsburgh sees a benefit in actually putting money back into the club. This place probably is consistantly the most crowded, happy hour through evening, most everyday. The crowd can be a little snotty and not very friendly. Everyone does seem to know each other and to be having a good time but if your not with a group you may sit by yourself for a while. Definately a local crowd

Friday nights are definitely a good night at 5801. What I like "most" about 5801 is the HUNK with the initials G.G. that I have met at that place. One of these days, I'll have to tell him how I "really" feel about 'em and how happy he makes me. Anyway, it's great bar, friendly staff, good music and good food

I really liked the atmosphere of this place, however, being a new guy in town I found it hard to socialize with the guys who seemed to all know each other. Very cliquish... bring a friend or else you might get bored just trying to meet people.

This Bar,along with several others in the city have gotten a much needed face lift.Fridays are most crowded with a youngish preppy crowd. If your in the neighborhood I recommend checking out the nifty restrooms and friendly staff.
