What we say

Very Mixed Crowd
Very casual bar with two floors. The younger crowd tends to hang out downstairs, where they drink, eat pizza and listen to the jukebox. The older crowd goes upstairs to dance to disco or 80's music, play Ms. Pac Man or to watch go-go boys.

***** Very friendly bar

We were visiting Pittsburgh from out of town. We went to Lucky's after leaving one of the other bars. Local patrons were very friendly and engaging. We were introduced to people and invited to play darts. Had a very positive experience. Found the upstairs bar to be fun. The building is older and a bit of a dive, but that adds to its charm.

***** Where Everybody Knows Your Name....

I've always thought of Lucky's as a "Gay Cheers" because most of the people that come here- everyone really does know their names! Lucky's is the kind of bar that you can return to and has a friendlier-than-usual staff. I have seen many times where the staff have went out of their way to serve their patrons- unlike many gay bars in Pittsburgh. Anyone who gives Lucky's a thumbs down needs to stop by more than just one nite. I agree to some it may seem on the darker side but the place does grow on you. You never know who you will run into and it has a diverse crowd. I've been going to Lucky's since '99 and still drop by a few times a month, and I'm not a barfly... One thing I can say about this place: You can sit down beside a stranger and have a decent conversation and they don't act all stuck up like in many gay bars. Come as you are-- that's all the Lucky's crowd asks of anyone =)))

***** Needs up dated

Bar has hope but needs a Juke box that has music from this decade. Some of the bar tenders have a big time attitude. they spend more time on their laptops then bar tending. Great place to relax at the down stairs bar or see the dancers upstairs

***** old and skanky

This bar has not changed a bit from the time I was 21 (and Im 35 now). Its still a big yinzer bar that is dark and grimey with skanky strippers and a very big drug crowd.
