Friction Pittsburgh Presents: Pre-Pride Party

Join us as we grow to be the largest party network of guys in Pittsburgh! You might know us from the big lesbian parties in Pittsburgh called Impulse. We run those! We're two lovable fag hags who prefer fruit flies.. if you know what I mean ;). In other words, we're a lesbian couple! BUT, we know how to party. Our Impulse events have had attendance of up to 550 women. At these events, we would often get guys coming up to us asking us why we don't host an event for the men. So that's how Friction Pittsburgh came about! In the end, we're two girls just trying to expand the gay and lesbian community in Pittsburgh with really fun monthly parties. There's Cruze, there's Spin, there's 58 and a bunch of bars downtown. And let's not forget about Lucky's. We guys have a lot of choices! However, this means that on any given night we're separated into smaller groups. What if, for one night each month, we brought all the men in Pittsburgh together into a single venue. First, it would be more fun (more hot guys for eye-candy!) Second, it'll open up the dating pool because everyone who is anyone will be going. Third, it will be a night to remember! That's where we come in! Friction Pittsburgh is premiering its first event-- the event of a lifetime at Cavo Pittsburgh with a Pre-Pride dance party! This experience will be similar to the epic gay parties in NY and LA. We're filling up one of the classiest venues in town and taking it over exclusively with hundreds of gay guys. We go big or we go home! About the Event Location: Cavo Pittsburgh Address: 1916 Smallman St Pittsburgh, PA 15222 Date: Friday, June 7th Time: 10PM – 2AM Cost to get in the door: $5. That's it! You pay at the door. No subscriptions or memberships! Age: 21+ ONLY About the Venue The owner of Cavo is a chick from Hollywood, and her bar greatly reflects that style! The whole place feels like a giant movie set with tables, lounges, and a huge dance floor. The only thing it's missing is hundreds of hot guys. Cavo is set up in the style of a nightclub, so we'll be dancing on huge floor with an in-house sound system for dancing. There is also a huge wrap-around bar. Half the place is set up to be for mingling- so there are couches and tables. The other half is all dance floor. There is also a second level VIP level with another bar. The place is huge, and there's something for everyone! Theme We'll be celebrating Pre-Pride in anticipation of the activities happening next weekend! The folks from Pride will be there selling shirts and handing out flyers. No dress code required. However, you won't feel left out if you dress it up for this one. On the other hand.. No shirt, no shoes? No problem! The party will be a good mixture of mingling, hanging out, connecting, and dancing. DJ Pete will be playing Top 40's with 80's and 90's dance hits mixed in. Drink Specials $3 Well Drinks until midnight! $3 Domestic Beers until midnight! Photographer and DJs DJ Pete has DJed many gay events before and is keen on studying the crowd to see what they react to. He takes requests! We will have a Photographer to capture couples, friends, or random candids. We put these pics on Facebook under a friends only album. If you want a group picture with your friends or your guy for Facebook, feel free to ask our photographer! If you don’t want any record of this night, add your name to our list at the front table, and we’ll make sure not to put up any pics of you. We’re very strict about this policy! Safety We're going to be partying with hundreds of men and anticipate a fun, safe and flawless experience! So no drugs, fighting, or anything like that and we'll be able to continue these huge, amazing parties as a tradition every month :) Parking There is parking all up and down Smallman and Penn Ave. Very easy to find parking. Ways to Mingle if you’re Single We will be doing Singles Bracelets!! When you enter, you will be offered two different colored bracelets if you're single. An Orange Bracelet means you're up for hooking up. A Blue Bracelet means you're looking for a relationship. You can wear both :) If you are in a relationship, you can just not wear a bracelet. Participation is optional for the bracelets, you can just come to party and have a good time :)
