Burghlesque

Madhouse Productions and Kierra Darshell are proud to bring back “Burghlesque” to the Cabaret Theater Saturday, September 13 at 10:30. The event, hosted by Pittsburgh’s first lady of drag, Kierra Darshell, and comedian and author Mike Buzzelli, features an evening of singing, dancing, comedy and more. Burlesque performers Lita D’Vargas and Macabre Noir will entertain with their sultry burlesque acts. D’Vargas is a café con leche confection designed to excite. Noir was the Great Southern Exposure’s Best Variety Entertainer in 2013, and she has been called Steel City Madame of Sideshow and Burlesque. Second Place winner of Pittsburgh’s Last Comic Standing competition Carl Schimmel will be performing. Schimmel, fresh from the Pittsburgh Comedy Festival, was recently featured in Comedy Central’s Up Next Talent Search. Divas of drag: Lady Rose Amore, former Miss Firecracker 2009, Miss Pittsburgh Pride 2006 and Miss Vice Versa 2004. Also gracing the Anna Steezia, who has performed all over Pittsburgh, most notably at There Ultra Lounge, Cruze, Club 231 and West Virginia’s Vice Versa. Artistic Director and Choreographer Joe Nickel danced all over the world with CD Entertainment and Norwegian Cruise Lines. Nickel brings his fast-paced modern ensemble back to the Cabaret Theater after sold-out late night performances. He will be joined on stage with his dancers Heather Lubay, Renee Danielle Smith and Brett Hahalyak. Kelsey Rae Purcell, who once auditioned for American Idol, will top the evening off with her powerful vocal artistry. MadHouse Productions combines a mix of the greatest and latest music with a non-stop live entertainment.
