JJ Cox, founder of Kingdom Come and co-founder of Hot Metal Hardware, now holds the title Mr. Cattivo and Mr. Pittsburgh Pride 2010. He is the host of The inQueery, a weekly podcast on outonline.com discussing issues around queer. JJ Cox relocated to Pittsburgh three years ago from Columbus, Ohio. This veteran dragfather has been performing for nine years in Orlando, Atlanta, DC, Columbus, and Tucson. JJ Cox was proud to bring Hot Metal Hardware to Baltimore in October 2010 for IDKE XII (The International Drag King Extravaganza) and most recently to Columbus Ohio for the 5th Annual Gingers Mystery Box.
Also featured will be members of Pittsburghs newest gender performance troupe Hot Metal Hardware.
Wardrobe Malfunction will feature a Charity Bra Toss, in which attendees can buy a bra to toss onstage to benefit to benefit PAAR (Pittsburgh Action Against Rape) http://www.paar.net/. PAAR is the only organization in Allegheny County solely devoted to the issues of sexual violence. It was founded in 1972 and was the first rape crisis center in Pennsylvania. PAAR provides comprehensive, cost-free services to child and adult victims of sexual abuse throughout Allegheny County. These services include: crisis intervention, including a 24-hour hotline, medical and legal advocacy, and crisis counseling; group counseling and individual counseling; education/prevention programs for children and community groups; and clinical training for mental health professionals.
