Kick off 2016 on the good foot when the TITLE TOWN Soul & Funk Dance Party returns - FRIDAY, January 8th at Ace Hotel Pittsburgh. That’s right. TITLE TOWN is back in East Liberty, right around the corner from where it all began over six years ago. Inspired by Pittsburgh’s rich record culture, resident co-creators, J. Malls & Gordy G. have been making bodies move since 2009. TITLE TOWN is a high-octane, all 45 RPM, soul and funk-fueled get down. TITLE TOWN upholds Pittsburgh’s historic DJ legacy by blending an appreciation of classic and seldom-heard sounds from decades past – namely Northern Soul, funk, disco and vintage rhythm & blues – with a contemporary edge, turned all the way up. The DJ duo navigates genres and eras, blending the best of labels such as Motown, Stax, and Chess with hand-picked rarities from regional soul scenes around the country - creating a feel-good dance floor frenzy among dedicated party goers.
