Fun place

I had fun when me and my friends where here. Shot boys were cute, shot girls were so nice and friendly, DJ was alright, overall good time.

Ain't what it used to be!

This bar is kinda crummy, boring, very much a desperation and depression joint. Used to be Liberty Avenue Saloon with a lively neighborhood vibe and clientele. Now it's just sad. Staff are disaffected. Drinks are overpriced. Just a "blah" place all around these days.

Depends on who's behind the bar!

Of my many times in the saloon and Tilden, I have ended up choosing my visits around who's behind the bar. I am not sure if the veteran staff are there for the right reasons... Slow rude service with a emphis on slow! In the past few months there has been a breath of fresh air hired and I thoroughly enjoy them! Thursday's have become a joke. Fridays are worse. Sunday is a night I can always depend on service and a good experience! A mild mannered man named Sean has never had his customers wait more than a short bit and is always a helpful pleasant person to interact with :) the rest of the week has another great bartender Nate! Also super nice and on point. The veteran staff should be worried for their jobs! Over all if you find yourself with one of those two handsome guys behind the bar rest assured you'll be taken care of! The other nights.... Drink at your own risk!

Best place in the city

The 941 saloon and Tilden after hours club are by far the best places to party in Pittsburgh. My husband and I recently moved to downtown Pittsburgh from LA, and as a straight woman, I can assure you that there's no place more happening than here. Unlike most cheesy joints in pittsburgh, the saloon/tilden gets a great mixed crowd (straight, gay, etc)...they also have an awesome DJ, fabulous drink specials, and a very upbeat atmosphere. Other "nightclubs" in this city pale in comparison. The 941 saloon is the perfect spot to grab a cocktail after work, and if you're in the mood to party all night it's a one-stop-shop for a great time! The staff is super cool and welcoming and the owner is HOTTTTT!!! this place is the real deal, I HIGHLY recommend it!

Skip It......

I've tried this place several times and never liked it. Drinks way too high for atmosphere, service VERY slow as they'll stand and talk to friends instead of serving drinks. Known for hustler type crowds but that goes on in posh places too but more obvious here. Not a place I'd go anymore. Just not worth the time unless your visiting and want to try every bar in town. Good Luck.
