Greater Pittsburgh CVBHome of the 3 rivers, Steelers, Penguins, Pirates and several colleges and universities. Pittsburgh has its reputation for steel factories but they were all demolished in the 80s and 90s and replaced with upscale shopping centers, luxury townhouses or modern office buildings. The city is also in the process of constructing a very large gambling casino near the downtown area and is trying to attract gay tourism. Although the gay community is not a large as NYC, DC or Philadelphia, you will find Pittsburgh a city with a smaller "hometown" feeling with numerous nightspots to visit welcoming gay life of all ages. Bars open until 2AM.
